Delete a customer

In this article, you will learn how to delete a customer.

Why you will need this:

You might want to delete a customer created by error or clean up your data and delete all customers’ information you don’t work with.
A customer can’t be deleted if he has been assigned to a sale order (to keep history search and analytics accurate).

What you will need:

To delete a customer, you have two (2) different options:
Option #1: Do it from the “Settings” module. See below.

Step 1: Go to the “Customers” settings

Click on the “Settings” module on the left banner, last module.
Choose “Customers”

Option #2: Do it from the “Sales” module. See below.
Step 1: Go to the “Customers” section
Click on the “Sales” module on the left banner.
Click “Customers”

Step 2: Delete the customer

Select the customer you want to delete
Click “View”

Click “Delete” and answer “Yes” to the question if you really want to delete this customer

A customer can’t be deleted if he has been assigned to a sale order (to keep history search and analytics accurate).
