To create a new sales wave pick, do it from the “Sales” module.

Click on the “Sales” module on the left banner, the sixth module.
Once the “Sales” module has loaded, click on the “Sales Wave Pick” button.

The “Sales Wave Pick” screen loads. From there, click on “Create new sales wave pick” button.

The “New Sales Wave Pick” screen loads. This screen is a wizard, meaning, it is made up of three different steps that are required to create and to define a sales wave pick.

New Wave Pick: Step 1 – Add sales to a wave pick

The objective of this step is to add the different sales to the wave pick. At this point, the sales wave has been created and a wave pick number assigned to it. This number is useful to identify the wave and to bring it to the mobile devices when picking.

Sales Wave Pick – Step 1

1- Wave pick number: Unique number used to identify the wave pick in the system. It starts with the prefix “WP-”.

2- Space selector: A wave pick can only include sales from one space (warehouse). Once you select a specific space on the selector, the sales listed will refresh to show only sales that belong to that space.

NOTE: Sales that have already started to be picked individually, will not be available to be added to a wave pick. Also, only active sales can be added to a wave pick.

3- Sales options: This allows you to select all/remove the sales listed to/from the wave pick. You can filter the list to display a specific set of sales and then click on “Select All” to add the sales to the wave pick. You can also click on the + buttons beside the sales to add individual sales to the wave pick one at a time.

4- Filtering conditionals: You can specify conditionals to filter the sales within the space. For example, sales for a specific customer, that are to be shipped in the next seven days. Once you have filtered a specific set of sales, you can add them to the wave by following the steps on 3.

5- Reset the sales list: If you want to reset any conditionals that you have applied to the sales list to show all the sales in the space again, simply click on “Reset Filters” button.

Please note: A sales wave pick must include more than one sale. If you need to create a sales wave with only one sale, proceed to process the sale individually instead. Click here to see how to process a sale.

Once you have added all the sales that you wish to include in the sales wave, click on “Continue” button.

New Wave Pick: Step 2 – Add sales products to the wave pick

Once you add the sales to a wave pick, you need to add the products within the sales to the wave pick.

Products listed on this step is the consolidation of the different products on the sales and the total quantity for these products that is required to ship.

For example, product 1 is in three sales that were added to the wave pick. In sale 1, 10 to be shipped, in sale 2, 2 to be shipped, in sale 3, 20 to be shipped. The list on step two will list the product once with a quantity of 32 to be shipped.

Products consolidation in a sales wave
The screen for the step 2 in the wave pick creation process consists of the following sections:

Sales Wave Pick – Step 2
1- Sales options: This allows you to select all/remove the products listed to/from the wave pick. You can filter the list to display a specific set of products and then click on “Select All” to add the sales to the wave pick. You can also click on the + buttons beside the products to add individual products to the wave pick one at a time.

2- Filtering conditionals: You can specify conditionals to filter the products listed. For example, products from a specific category. You might want to only make one trip to the freezer room so all the Frozen products form the sales to be added to this wave pick. Once you have filtered a specific set of of products, you can add them to the wave by following the steps on 1.

3- Assigned sales: Click this button to see all assigned sales selected on step one. This is specially useful if you want to confirm the proper sales have been assigned to the wave pick without having to go back and go through all the sales listed in there.

Assigned Sales on a Wave Pick 1- Sales No.: Lists all the sales assigned to the wave pick. You can click on a sale in the list to open it on a separate tab to see its details.

2- Customer: Lists all the customers (customer name) for the corresponding sales.

You can filter the sales in the wave by using the same tools used in other listings. Filter by sale number, customer name or by sorting by column.

Good to know!! A sale can be added to more than one wave pick but the products on the sale can only be added to one wave pick. For example a sale has 20 products to be shipped, out of those 20 products, 5 are frozen products. Those 5 frozen products are added to a sales wave. You then create a new sales wave and add that sale to the new sales wave. Only the remaining 15 products will be available to be added to the new sales wave.

Sale product distribution between sales waves

Once you have added all the products that you wish to include in the sales wave, click on “Create” button.

New Wave Pick: Step 3 – Confirm the creation of the new sales wave

The last step in the sales wave pick creation simply confirms the wave pick creation. Here, you can review the details of the wave pick. You can click on Assigned sales and items included can be reviewed individually by clicking on the corresponding hyperlink.

After reviewing the details, simply click on “Continue” button to create the new sales wave.

You have successfully created a sales wave pick! The new sales wave pick details screen loads.
