Create a new skid

In this article, you will learn how skids are created in SwiftCOUNT. New skids can be created from the skids screen. SwiftCOUNT supports multiple skids within a location.

Why you will need this:

You need to create a new skid because you have products coming in from a supplier and need to be able to group them together in a skid to be stored away in the location.
You have excess products that need to be stored away, but need to know where they are so they can be retrieved in the future.

Step 1: On the skids screen click on “CREATE NEW SKID”

Step 2: The Create New Skid pop up screen loads.

Number (required): enter a unique skid number (alphanumeric) of up to 50 characters. Leading and trailing blank characters will be ignored.
Space: Select the space where your skid will be created. Once a space is selected, the locations within that space will be available under “Select Location”.
Location. Select a location where your skid will be created. Only locations that belong the space previously selected will be available for selection.

Step 3: Proceed to enter the required information.

Step 4: Click Save and Close to create the skid and to go back to the skid screen.
If you need to create more than one new skid, you can click on Save and New to create the skid. The Create New Skid screen will remain open ready for you to create another skid.
