In this article, you will learn how to count with barcodes (scanning).

What you will need:

The SwiftCount app installed (Download on the App Store or Google Play store)
Step 1: Select the count
Open the app and select “Counts”

Select the count you want to start counting for.
Step 2: Use the in-app scanner to scan the barcode
Tap on the “Barcode” icon

Step 3: Enter the quantity
Tap the button to add to your product quantity. See below. Click here to see more about using the Swift keyboard
For example: You have counted “31”. Then tap “25” then, “5” then “1”. In any order, you now have a total of “31”.
Step 4: (Optional) Select the location you are counting in
If you are counting in a specific “location” and you want to count to specify quantities counted by location.
Select the “TO” icon on the product screen, and select the correct location. See below.
Step 5: (Optional) Select the unit of measure
You can select the unit of measure in which you want to count your products in.
Tap on the “EA x 1” icon on the product screen and select the correct unit of measure. See below.
Step 6: Confirm the count for that product.
Confirm the quantity by selecting the “checkmark” button at the bottom of the screen. See below.
Step 7: Complete the count
When you are finished counting your inventory, you can let SwiftCount know that you have completed your count.

Go back to the product list, and select “Complete count” at the bottom of the screen. See below.
