Copy a product

In this article, you will learn how to copy a product.

*Why you will need this: *

If you have to create a product that has the same information as another one? Copying this products is the fastest way to create it.

*What you will need: *

Add products. Click here to learn how to create/import products
Step 1: Select the product you want to copy
Got to the “Products” module on the left banner, second module.
Select the product you want to copy
Click “View”

Step 2: Copy a product
On the product details sheet, click “Copy”

Specify the Part number: (or item number) your internal identifier for the item. Its purpose is to reference and keep track of that item internally.
Specify the Description: product description
Select if you want to assign the same locations, units of measure and swiftIDs
All the other information will be the same as the copied product: category, cost per EA, inventory type, product type and reorder point. The initial on-hand quantity will be at 0.

Click “Copy”
