In this article, you will learn how to check the connection between SwiftCount & Spire.

Why you will need this:

Verify that the connection between SwifCount’s server and Spire’s server was established successfully.

What you will need:

Connect SwiftCount to Spire.

Step 1: Go to the IP address of the server where Spire is installed

Go to https://38.117.96.81:10880/api/v1/
Click “Advanced”

Click “Proceed to 38.117.96.81 (unsafe)”

Step 2: Select the company you want to check the connection for between Spire and SwiftCount

Click on the company link

Here you will see a list of companies.
Select the company you want to check the connection for
Click on the URL link

Enter your username and password
Click “Sign in” in order to log in Spire

You should be able to see all your Spire data. It means that the connection is established successfully.

Step 3: Go to ODBC data sources 32 bits

Search the ODBC data sources 32 bits app in your computer and open it

Go to “System DSN”
Click “Add”

Click “Postgre SQL unicode”
Click “Finish”

Enter the information
DataSource: name of the test
Database: the actual name of the database
Server: the IP address of the server
Username: always “spireapp”
Description: keep the name written
SSL mode: always “disable”
Port: always “5432”
Password: the one that you have got in the configuration file
Click “Test”


Once done, you should get a success message.
