In this article, you will learn how to create/import UOMs using an excel file.
Why you will need this:
To do a mass assignation of UOMs to existing products
You want to assign a different Unit of measure to the same product. For example a box of 10 units of candies.
What you will need:
Add/Import products.
Step 1: Download the spreadsheet template
Click the “Settings” module on the left banner.
Click “Units of measure”
Click the “cloud” icon (arrow down) to download the sample spreadsheet.

Select “Assign existing UOMs to products”
Click “download”
You will be downloading an excel template with the structure SwiftCount needs to assign units of measure to products. You will need to fill out the template with the products you want to assign existing UOMs
Step 2: Fill out the template

Assign to existing products a UOM code
Set a conversion factor if the Unit of measure for that product is different from the one you created. Example: you can have a case of brownies containing 5 units and a case of cookies containing 10 units.
If you leave blank the conversion factor cell then the system will automatically assign the default conversion factor for that UOM code.
Step 3: Upload the template
Click the “cloud” icon (arrow up) to upload the filled out spreadsheet.
Select “Assign existing UOMs to products. Click Next

Select your excel template
Click “Upload”
If you wish to cancel the process, Click “Close”
