Assign products to a location manually

In this article, you will learn how to assign products to a location manually.

Why you will need this:

You need to assign products to their possible locations to be able to move them in/out and transfer them from/to these locations.
Doing this will limit possible staff errors, and keep your inventory organized.

What you will need:

Add/Import locations. Click here to learn how to add/import locations
Add/Import products. Click here to learn how to add/import products

Step 1 : Go to the Locations module

Click “Locations” on the left banner

Step 2 : Select the products

Select the products on the list you want to assign to a common location
Click “Assign location”

Step 3 : Select the location

Select the location you want these products to be assigned to, from the list.
Click “Assign locations”

This step will not “add” or “remove” to the on-hand quantity to each location you assigned the products to. It simply means that these products will be available to be moved in and out from this location.
