In this article you will learn how to distribute products picked in the wave to the different sales that the wave pick is made out of.

Why you will need this:

Once all the products in a wave pick have been picked you need to assign them to the corresponding sales in the wave pick. This is particularly important when the entire quantity wasn’t picked for a product or when products are serialized or lot numbered.

Assigning picked products to sales:

Once you have fully picked all the items on the wave or you have picked as many items as were available in the warehouse, you need to assign them to the corresponding sales within the wave pick. This is the last step required before a wave pick can be processed.

You can assign products to sales without having to complete the wave pick.

If you are going to assign products to sales from a wave pick that has been picked by multiple users, make sure all the users have completed their individual pick.

Assigning picked products to wave pick sales:

1- Pick all the items that you were supposed to pick. To do this, refer to “Picking Products on a Mobile Device”.

2- From the Wave Pick Details – screen, you will find the Assign to Sales – button.

3- The Wave Pick Assign to Sales – screen displays:

E- Pick progress indicator: For each item listed, there will be a color coded progress bar indicator. The color will depend on the status of the pick for the product:

Over pick

Full pick

Partial pick

The indicator and its color is based on the total requested quantity of a product for all the sales in the wave pick.

F- Edit indicator:

The edit indicator will display besides the picked products that require verification by the user. The user needs to tap on each indicator and confirm the action before the wave pick can be processed. Reasons for the need of user verification are:

Product picked is in more than one sale in the wave pick and was picked partially.
Product picked is in more than one sale in the wave pick and was over picked.
Product picked in in more than one sale in the wave pick and it is serialized or lot numbered.
When tapping on edit for a product, the Wave Product Pick Edit – pop up opens:

Wave Product Pick Edit – pop up A- Product information: Lists the product part number and description for the one being edited.

B- Shipping information: Indicates the total quantity of the product to ship for all the sales on the wave vs what has been shipped so far.

Total to ship greater than total shipped = partial ship.

Total to ship less than total shipped = over ship.

Total to ship equal than total shipped = full ship.

C- Search box and scan: It allows you to search for a particular sale the product belongs to. Only sales the product is requested under will be listed in the search results.

D-List headers: Allows you to sort the sales in the list by tapping on the specific column. Tap once for ASC sort. Tap again for DESC sort.

E- Sales information list: Lists all the sales in the wave pick that have requested that product to be shipped. The individual ship quantity is listed for each sale and besides, how much of the picked quantity has been assigned to each sale.

In the case of over ships and partial ships, the system will use an algorithm to distribute the picked quantities amongst all sales.

The user can change this distribution to any desired combination across all sales as long as the new distribution equals to the total shipped quantity in the wave pick.

If the distribution of shipped quantities is not equal to the total shipped in the wave pick, the system will display a warning message and will prompt you to try again.

To reset back to the system suggested distribution, simply exit the screen and enter again.

F- Save changes: When the total shipped quantity has been distributed properly among the sales, tapping on Save will commit the quantity distribution. The pop up screen will close and the product in the wave pick list will no longer show the edit indicator besides it.

Product with total shipped quantity committed.
Continue reviewing all the pending products by tapping on their corresponding edit indicators. Once you have reviewed them all, you can proceed to confirm the wave and to process it.
