*As each participant plays a specific role within each Contest, when setting up a Contest, SEMS applies a role automatically. (Roles types have been preset by SLSA within the SEMS SuperAdmin system).
To check the Roles pre-assigned to each Contest, right click on the Event name and choose Contests, right click on the Contest name and choose Roles.
If you wish, you can over-ride or change these Role values/rules:
1. To exempt a Role award check within a contest, tick the Exempt checkbox.
2. To change/modify a gender criteria for a specific role within a contest use the ‘gender criteria’ drop down box and select appropriate Male/Female/All
3. To change/modify the contest Min/Max Age for a specific contest role use the ‘Min Age’ or ‘Max Age’ columns
Note: In an IRB Event eg: IRB Rescue Tube Contest consists of three (3) Roles. 1 x IRB Driver, 1 x IRB Crew and 1 x Patient therefore you need all three of these roles.
When Clubs place their entries they will need to apply a competitor to each of the roles and will only be eligible for entry if they comply with the Award set against the role.
Note: If you modify any of the role type Gender or Age settings ensure that you have ticked the ‘Define Age and Define Gender by Role checkboxes in the Contest – details screen
