To access the Superadmin Function of Event Roles click on the Super button (located top right of screen) and select ‘Event Roles’.
The reason roles are created and can be assigned to a contest or Officials is to allow specific award criteria to be set for different roles that competitors/Officials play within an Event or Contest.
Eg: A Surf Boat contest which consists of 5 competitors has 4 roles assigned to it. ‘General Competitor’ (representing the 4 rowers) and 1 role assigned called ‘Surf Boat Sweep’ (representing the sweep)
1 & 3) The Event Role section will list available Event Roles that have been set up by SLSA.
Each Contest in SEMS must have a role assigned to it Eg: Surf Race is a solo contest and has a role assigned called ‘General Competitor’.
2) By clicking the ‘New’ button (located bottom left of the Super – Event Roles screen), it activates the area where you create new Roles by typing in the name of the new role, set the role type ie: competitor, assistant (ironman handler), Official or Support.
