The Transfer Ownership feature allows you to assign control of a cloud project to another user within your organization. This ensures that only one user is responsible for making changes at a time, helping prevent multiple versions of the same project.
To transfer ownership, right-click on a cloud project and select Transfer Ownership. This will open the Transfer Project Ownership window, which includes two sections:
- Owner: The current owner of the project. This user has full control and can make changes to the project.
- New Owner: The user to whom ownership will be transferred.
To proceed, select a user from the New Owner dropdown list. This list displays all available VO users within your organization. Once the transfer is completed:
- The current owner will no longer be able to make changes to the project.
- The new owner will gain full editing rights.
This feature helps maintain a single source of truth by ensuring that only one user at a time can modify a cloud project, reducing confusion and avoiding duplicate versions.
