Club Drone Program Process
- Club applies for drone course using this Jotform:
Club drone operation checklist - SLSQ check’s the application to ensure regional lifesaving coordinator approval.
- SLSQ send an email advising of the outcome or contact club for further informormation.
- Club received first drone free, on completion of first course.
- SLSQ works with club to create their Local Operating Procedures for the drone.
- Club contacts relevant EATS to run a course, using this Jotform
Drone training - Club forwards a maximum of 10 candidates’ names and email addresses to be uploaded into FlyFreely. Please email lifesavingoperations@lifesaving.com.au
- Once candidates have completed sign up to FlyFreely and uploaded ARN and Casa Qualifications, they will be enrolled into the course. (Must be completed 2 weeks prior to course).
- Course run and candidates assessed.
- Drone can be utilised by the club.
Lifeguards and Lifesavers that wish to enrol in the Drone Operator Award must meet the following:
- Be in general, good health.
- Hold an SLSA observer award (min).
- Be 16 years or older.
- Have Aviation Reference Number.
- Complete RPA Casa Course.
- Complete eLearning modules successfully.
- Complete theory assessment successfully.
