Strategic planning is essential for a club that wants to achieve its long-term goals and objectives. By developing a clear, well-defined strategy, clubs and Branches can align their resources, prioritise their initiatives, and focus their efforts on the areas that will have the most significant impact. A strategic plan provides a roadmap for your club or branch, guiding decision-making and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned around a common vision and set of priorities.

When creating your Club/ Branch strategic plan, it should include:

Conduct a situational analysis: Analysing the external environment, identifying key trends and assessing your club or branches internal strengths and weaknesses.
Set goals and objectives: Based on the situational analysis, the next step is to set specific, measurable, and achievable goals and objectives. These goals should align with the mission and vision and reflect the key priorities identified in the situational analysis.
Develop a strategic plan: With the goals and objectives in place, the next step is to develop the strategic plan. This plan should outline the specific strategies, tactics, and initiatives that will be used to achieve the goals and objectives.
Approval of the strategic plan: Once the plan has been created, it must be reviewed by all relevant stakeholders that will be affected by the plan to ensure they align with the objectives.
Implement the plan: Once the strategic plan has been developed, it must be implemented effectively. This involves identifying the resources required, establishing clear roles and responsibilities, and setting up processes and systems to monitor progress and ensure accountability.
