Key Information

  • A Family Group is simply an artificial grouping of people in one club for the purposes of data management where it is assumed the primary member(s) in control of the group have some sort of legal standing to manage the Family Group.
  • Family Groups consist of Primary member(s) who can manage the group and standard members who can be managed in the group.
  • A Family Group can only exist where there is at least one Primary and one Standard member.
  • A Primary member must be over 18 years old and have an email address listed in their Surfguard membership file.
  • Notifications will be sent to the primary member of a family group when a person is demoted or removed from a group.
  • You can be a member of more than one family group in one club and/or a member of a family group in more than one club.
  • Family groups can be manually created by a surf club or a member can create a family group request via the Members Area or the Join system.
    Member Family Group requests come into Surfguard via the pending request module. Once a family group request has been accepted in the pending request section then the group is added to your Family Group list.

To Manage or view your clubs ‘Family Groups’ click on the red MENU link. From the members section select ‘Manage Family Groups’

The ‘Manage Family Group’ screen will list all the family groups in your clubs Surfguard database for members within your club.
Use surname or family group names to assist search filtering.

See next items within 3.5 to edit, delete or create a new family groups.
