Entities can have three levels of users , with varying levels of access to the institution’s account.

  • Admin users can add, delete, or modify other users and perform all standard user functions
  • Standard users can
    • Add, edit, and delete information on the institution’s profile or of any profile owned by the user’s organization. Profiles owned by an institution include available technologies, prestartups, research projects, and technical services and consulting; spin-out startups and licensees are not part of aninstitution and cannot be edited by any users at the institution.
    • Search SeedSprint’s database
    • Initiate messages to external profile owners and respond to messages received in connection with profiles owned by the institution
  • Restricted users can

    • Search the database

Manage existing users and their restrictions from the account setting page. From this page, an admin may

  • Edit a user’s name, email, or status as an admin or non-admin user
  • Disable a user’s account – disabled users will not be able to access SeedSprint until an admin re-enables their account via the same page
  • Set Restrictions – select the profiles that the user has access to within your institution
  • Resend Invitations – if a user is unable to find their invitation to SeedSprint, resend their invitation. Please, ask your user to double-check their spam/junk box and add contact@seedsprint.com to their contact list.

To add new users , select Add new user in the upper right corner and fill in the fields with information about the new user. Only check Entity admin if you intend to create an Admin user. Then, customize restrictions (limiting which profiles the user can edit) after creating the new user. Finally, select Send invitation, and the new user will be sent an invitation to join SeedSprint via email. If the user cannot find the invitation, ask them to check their junk or spam folder and add contact@seedsprint.com to their contact list

To add multiple users at the same time, upload a .csv file with the users that you would like to invite with the columns in the order: first name, last name, email (you can use our sample file to start your list). Upload this file from your hard drive via the Browse button and then select the Add uploaded users and send invitations to create individual accounts for each user.
