Adding a Room Type

  1. Click the link
    1. a blank Room Type is shown in the right screen (title of the page = New Room type)
  2. Set the desired Code
    1. Advised is to keep a clear line on the codes (e.g. SGL for single rooms) as the codes will be used in many locations and are not changeable afterwards.
  3. Enter the desired Name
  4. Enter the description for the room type
  5. Check the ‘active’ box for activating the room type. uncheck for the room type to be deactivated
  6. Set the default occupancy for the room (number of guest), by using the drop-down
  7. Use the color picker to select a color for the room type
    1. this can be done by using the preset colors (click one of them), enter the hex color code or select a color with use of the sliders.
  8. Select the Bedding configuration by using the drop-down to assign a bed type
  9. select the number of beds in the room with use of the drop-down

  10. Select the desired amenities for the new room type
  11. Click ‘Save’
    1. The changes are saved
    2. The PMS shows a green bar on top, indicating saving was successful
    3. The Room Type is closed
  12. The new Room Type is added to the list under ‘active’

Modifying a Room Type

  1. In the list click the Room type that needs to be modified
    1. the Room type details are shown in the right screen (title of the page = name of the Room type)
  2. Change the desired fields
    1. Note: the Code can not be changed
  3. Click ‘Save’
    1. The changes are saved
    2. The PMS shows a green bar on top, indicating saving was successful
    3. The Room Type is closed

Deactivating a Room Type

  1. In the list, with the ‘active filter’ selected, click the Room type that needs to be deactivated
    1. The details are shown in the right part of the screen (title of the page = the name of the room type)
  2. Uncheck the box ‘Active’
  3. Click ‘Save’
    1. The changes are saved
    2. The PMS shows a green bar on top, indicating deactivation was successful
    3. The Room Type is closed and only visible in the list when ‘inactive’ is selected

Reactivating a Room Type

  1. In the list, with the ‘inactive filter’ selected, click the Room type that needs to be activated
    1. The details are shown in the right part of the screen (title of the page = the name of the room type)
  2. Check the box ‘Active’
  3. Click ‘Save’
    1. The changes are saved
    2. The PMS shows a green bar on top, indicating deactivation was successful
    3. The Room Type is closed and only visible in the list when ‘inactive’ is selected

Duplicating a Room Type

  1. In the list, click the Room Type that needs to be duplicated
    1. The details are shown in the right part of the screen (title of the page = the name of the Room type)
  2. On the bottom click ‘Duplicate’
  3. An exact copy of the Room Type is made
    1. Only the Code is different as a sequence is added (e.g. original room type code = Exam, code for duplicate = Exam-1)
  4. If needed change the code
  5. if needed change the desired fields
  6. Click ‘Save’
    1. The changes are saved
    2. The PMS shows a green bar on top, indicating saving was successful
    3. The Room Type is closed
  7. The new Room Type is added to the list under ‘active’
