The Housekeeping status page is used to manage the status per room and keep an overview of Housekeeping tasks.

Selecting rooms

The page offers two options: changing per room separately or change multiple rooms at the same time.

Changing per Room

  1. Check the checkbox in front of the desired room
    1. The room is now selected
    2. The checkbox is blue
    3. The Status selection box is activated:
    4. See table below for the status options
  2. Set the new status for the room
    1. The status is changed directly for the room
    2. The Save button is activated
  3. Click ‘save’
    1. A window opens, requesting confirmation for the made change
    2. Click ‘Save’ in the window
    3. The window closes
    4. A green bar on top appears, indicating saving was successful
    5. The room is no longer selected
    6. The save button is disabled

Changing multiple Rooms

  1. Check the checkbox in front of the desired rooms OR check the checkbox in top to select all Rooms:
    1. The rooms/all rooms are now selected
    2. The check boxes are blue
    3. The Status selection box is activated:
    4. See table below for the status options
  2. Set the new status for the rooms
    1. The status for all (selected) rooms is changed directly
    2. The Save button is activated
  3. Click ‘save’
    1. A window opens, requesting confirmation for the changes made
    2. Click ‘Save’ in the window
    3. The window closes
    4. A green bar on top appears, indicating saving was successful
    5. The rooms are no longer selected
    6. The save button is disabled

Housekeeping statuses

Within the PMS Rooms can have these Housekeeping Statuses:

Status Description
Not Clean Room has been in use
Being Cleaned Cleaning is in progress
Ready for Inspection Cleaning is done, inspection needed
Clean Room is inspected and marked as clean/ready for use
Clean but needs maintenance Room is inspected and marked as clean, but maintenance is needed before next use
Maintenance in progress Maintenance is in progress at the moment, follow up status for the previous status
Maintenance needed Room is not cleaned, maintenance is needed before the room is cleaned
Do not Disturb No cleaning for this room allowed on request of the guest

filtering

Rooms can be filtered on the Housekeeping page, in order to have only the needed rooms visible. Especially with larger hotels this can be very helpful.
All fields can be used to sort by clicking on it (sorting can only be done with one field at the time).
After the first click sorting is done ascending (starting with zero) and after clicking it again, sorting will be done descending.

Filtering is also an option. For Room Numbers and ‘Cleaning Notes’ just click the boxes below each Column header. In the field start typing the text/number to filter/search for. With ever digit the results will be adjusted. The other fields can be filtered by clicking the arrow and check the boxes for the desired Room Type, Floor, Location or Status. Multiple fields can be filtered like this.
