Hard-Wired Interlocks

Once your linear conveyor has been Auto-Configured and running in ZPA mode; the ConveyLinx-Ai Family Modules will attempt to convey all items from upstream to downstream in the direction of flow. The next logical step that you will want to do is Interlock with the most upstream and/or downstream zones and perhaps interrupt flow in a zone somewhere in the middle.

After Auto-Configuration, the ConveyLinx-Ai Family Modules Interlock signal functionality on the Sensor Port’s Aux IO pin defaults to “External Control” which means that the ZPA logic ignores any input signals that are connected. You need to use EasyRoll+ to configure the particular interlock functionality that is required for your application.

Refer to topics IOX Interface Module and/or Electrical Connections for Sensor Port Aux I/O for more information on how to connect your interlock signals to you ConveyLinx-Ai Family Module
