When you craft a message in Prospect Maximizer, you have four different variables available to use within your message.

1. {firstName}

Inserts the prospect’s first name from their LinkedIn profile into your message.

Example: Hi {firstName} – let's connect!

2. {lastName}

Inserts the prospect’s last name from their LinkedIn profile into your message.

Example: Hi {firstName} – I have an exciting project that could really use some of the {lastName} magic I've been hearing about – let's connect!

3. {companyName}

Inserts the prospect’s company name from their LinkedIn profile into your message.

Example: Hi {firstName}, I understand you're doing some fine work at {companyName} – let's connect!

4. {title}

Inserts the prospect’s company name from their LinkedIn profile into your message.

Example: Hi {firstName}, I see you're doing some work as a {title} these days – let's connect!

Best Practices with Message Variables

While “Invitations to Connect” and “Messages” support certain variables, such as {firstName} and {lastName}, {companyName} and {title}, is highly suggested that you only use{firstName}, as the rest are often not colloquial.

A great example is a guy whose “company name” reads: “ATTENTION B2B MARKETERS, SMB OWNERS, SALES PROS, CONSULTANTS AND NON-PROFITS

And his title says: “Lead Generation, Nurturing and Conversion Consultant Advising Marketers, SMB Owners, & Consultants”

You don’t want either of those going in a message to him.

Our suggestion is to the make the target audience targeted enough to be able to make the message as personalized as possible at scale.

For example, when targeting people who engaged with a post, simply being able to say “I saw your comment on Jamie’s post. That was a great video, and …” is already feeling like it was written to a particular person.

When targeting Search Navigator results, splitting the outreach into multiple campaigns by extra attributes helps personalize the message “I was looking at sales managers in Chicago a couple days ago, and your profile stuck in my head” (and yes, you could set up the campaign to have viewed their profile a couple days earlier).
