Here, an application can be started instead of a desktop.
This requires a Terminal Server (RDS).
To do this, “Application active” must be activated and the IP address or host name of the Terminal Server must be specified.
If a terminal server farm is used, the address of the broker must be specified.
There are two ways to start an application:
Application via path
An application on the terminal server can be started by specifying a path.
Additional parameters can be passed to the program to be started.
The application must be approved for startup on the terminal server.
Remote Apps
When using “Remote Apps,” an application must be configured on the terminal server.
The alias (formerly ID) can then be specified to select the application.
