As with all other applications, installation is carried out via SYSTEM (Platform Manager)

Attention:
Based on a current issue all applications have to be removed beafore starting installation.

Under Software Package, click the + button, then select Pintexx Workplace Mailix and start the installation.
After installation, the following applications should be installed:

  • The configuration database
  • The Mail Server Extension MSE
  • The actual mail server

First, open the following URL:
https://:6007/mse

Then set up the “administrator” with the desired password and log in.
Under Settings -> Login Details, set the password for the Web Admin.

Then open the following URL:
https://:6006

Then log in with “admin” and the assigned password.

In the ADMIN area, go to “Organizations” and create an organization.
Then go to “Domains” and create a domain.

Now go to DOMAINS in the upper left menu.
Then select the specified domain.
A test of all DNS entries is now performed on the right-hand side.
The values from Reachability to DMARC should be configured in the DNS.

Click on the individual buttons to display the necessary entries.
A reverse lookup is also required for the mail server domain.

Then enter the default values below.
SMTP, POP3/IMAP, EAS (Autosync), and DAV (calendar, etc.) should be activated.

Now go back to MSE and enter the mail server domain, e.g., mail.mydomain.de, and the default domain under Settings -> Domain.
Then restart the mail server in SYSTEM under Software Packages (click on the green icon and stop the application, then restart it).

Finally, go back to MSE and set your own or LetsEncrypt certificate under Settings Certificates.

TEST:
Configure a user in Mail Server Admin.
Then open Outlook and set up a new account.
Enter your email address and password.

Outlook should now be ready to use with MAILIX.
