Formulas are a unique among all the different objects that may be inserted into the Data Model of a table where other tables display their contents, Formula fields display the results of their contents where the contents are formulas (code, code blocks or code snippets).

Code is written in Ninox using one of the two available code editors – The Visual Editor and the Text Editor.

The Visual Editor uses a drag-and-drop interface to “construct” formulae while the Text Editor provides a platform on which the administrator can create code by both typing it in directly and by selected table elements from data model lists provided by Ninox.

Examples of both of the code editors available in Ninox are displayed below and described in greater detail in their respective sections of this users manual.
