The Text Editor provides a platform on which the administrator can create code by both typing it in directly and selecting table elements from data model lists provided by Ninox. The Text Editor is displayed in the image below.

In the image above, we see the sections of the Ninox Text Code Editor. These sections are as follows:

A – The Data Model for the current table. Table references to or from and current table are represented by the arrow that may appear to the left of the table name. An arrow pointing right (in) represents a table that is referring to the current table while an arrow pointing left (out) refers to a table that to which the current table is referring. The diamond indicator to the right of the table name of all table references may be toggled to open/close a display of all fields and formulae that are part of the data model of the related table.

B – Each line is automatically numbered for reference. Line numbers are assigned chronologically by Ninox and can not be altered by the user

C – The formula editor workspace. This is the area where code is written by the end user. The workspace editor will automatically wrap code to the next line with the length of a line exceeds the width of the editor workspace area

D – The cursor position indicator. This indicator displays the current row / column where the cursor is located within the editor workspace.
