When naming (or renaming) tables in Ninox be advised that tables appear on the desktop workspace and in the sidebar in order according to their name with the characters zero (0) through nine (9) preceding alphabetic characters A through Z.

It is recommended that you name tables using one or two word that accurately describe the record contents of the table. For example, a table that is being built to hold all employee data would logically be named “Employees”. It is not necessary to use the suffix table (as in “Employee Table”) as Ninox understands this to be a table construct within the database architecture.

In addition, users are advised against assigning table names that are long (consisting of more than 3 words) and/or containing special characters ($, #, &, @) as this makes references to these tables in code blocks unnecessarily complicated and prone to syntactic error.

Tables are named using the Table Name field on the Ninox Table Management screen (see below).

Also note that Ninox will not permit any two tables in the same database application to have exactly the same name.
