The contents of a view may be changed using the Edit Columns option that appears in the popup menu accessed by clicking on the name of the view. View Edit options include:
- Add Fields
- Delete Fields
- Rename Column Headings
- Change Sort Order (Ascending, Descending or Grouped)
- Add Count, First, Last or Concatenation results to the footer at the bottom of the listing (Text, Multi-Line Text and Rich Text fields only)
- Add Count, Sum, Average, Min, Max, First, Last or Concatenation results to the footer at the bottom of the listing (Number Fields only)
- Remove a field from view in the listing (Hide Column)
The Edit Fields screen is displayed in the image below.
In the Edit Fields screen, fields and formulas currently included in the view will appear in the Visible Columns area on the left while all remaining fields and formulas in the data model of the current table will appear in the Available Columns area on the right.
Clicking on a non-numeric field in the Visible Columns section will bring up the column (field) options screen displayed below.
Clicking on a numeric field in the Visible Columns section will bring up the column (field) options screen displayed below.
Note that only one field per view may be defined as the Group field. Also, only one calculation (Count, Sum, Average, Min, Max, First, Last or Concatenation) may be included in the footer per column. Finally, it is important to remember that the Kanban, Card and Gantt Chart views do not support the sort order or footer options presented in the two images above.
