While a x in Ninox presents the value of a single data field across multiple, grouped records in a table, a stacked bar chart presents the values of multiple data fields across the a similarly grouped set of records. In a Stacked Bar Chart, each bar (when displayed unstacked) or segment (when displayed stacked), resents a separate field. The two images presented below display multiple fields displayed in the same Scale. The first image has each field (segment) stacked such that the overall height of the bar is the additive sum total of the values of each segment field. The second image shows each field as its own bar with all the segments (fields) of each record grouped together according to the group field used to draw the X-Axis.
Note that in a multi-variable chart, select elements (fields) can be hidden by clicking on the name of that element in the Legend. Each component in the Legend acts as a toggle switch, with the default setting set to “On”. Clicking once on the element turns it to the “Off” position resulting in the corresponding component, as presented on the chart, being hidden from view. The image below demonstrates this with the Total Service (green) field disabled from view.
Hovering the mouse over any single element in the chart will result in the numeric value represented by that segment, along with the name of the segment appear in an on-screen help window.
