The sqr() function calculates the value returned when the numeric parameter to this sqr() function is multiplied by itself
h3. SYNTAX

  1. sqrt(numeric value)
  2. sqrt(‘Number Field’)

WHERE

  • sqr is the function keyword. This must be entered into the Ninox function editor in all lower-case characters
  • numeric value is a specified numeric value
  • ‘Number Field’ is the reference name of a Number Field in a table, the contents of which are to serve as the basis for the square root calculation.

EXAMPLE

  • sqr(4) = 16
  • sqrt(10) = 100
  • sqrt(‘Number Field’) where ‘Number Field’ contains the value 12 = 144
