4.5. Nearkey reset

The reset of the device is used to restore Nearkey to factory settings, it removes the configuration of the device including the ownwer, administrators and users of that lock. From the time of restart, the lock must be reconfigured.

To restart the device we should:

1. Identify the configuration button.

2. Press the button with the finger or an element that cannot damage the device.

3. Press and hold the button for approximately 3 seconds.

4. The configuration LED will emit a red light, when this light goes out and the LED turns blue, stop pressing the button.

5. If the operation has been correct, the configuration LED will start flashing with blue light, if this light does not appear, please repeat the process.
