Overview
The full setup of PWA requires three certificates. Two get loaded onto the Brain which is covered in a previous article found here and a CA certificate that gets loaded into the client device as well.
KT-1010 Certificates
On a USB thumb drive add the following items
- Chromium web browser apk file
- If using a KT-107 you can skip this, the KT-107 has a Google Chrome web browser already installed which will work to download the PWA to the client
- CA Certificate that has been previously created
- Plug the USB into the KT-1010
- If using a KT-107 you store the CA Certificate on Google Drive, One Drive, and share a link to the KT for downloading purposes
- Select the Chromium apk file from the USB drive and download to the KT-1010
- Select the ca certificate and download
- Once you start this download you will be prompted to enter a name for the certificate, you can choose any name you would like
- When installing the ca certificate onto the client device, you will be asked to create a lock screen pin code for the client. This is required to use PWA on these devices. While the PWA is open, the client will not enter into a lock screen.
Using and Saving the PWA on the client
- Open the web browser (Chromium or Chrome) on the KT-107 or KT-1010
- Go to https://kramercontrol.com/pwa
- Once loading this page you will be prompted to download the pwa file to the home screen where you can launch Kramer Control instead of opening the web browser
