KC Brain Manager – Alternate URL

Overview

The Alternate URL field inside the KC Brain Manager, minimum firmware version 1.0.25, is the landing page shown when the KC Brain Manager is launched. If you choose to connect and HDMI, and touch screen directly to the Virtual Brain 1 or Virtual Brain 5, you can set the Alternate Launch URL to show the Control GUI instead of the KC Brain Manager configuration pages. In order to set an Alternate Launch URL, you will need to know the deep link address for the Control Space. You can find the deep link address using this article

Process

1. Connect to the KC Brain Manager
2. Login to the hardware
3. Choose the settings tab
4. Enter the deep link address followed by &immersive=true so the GUI will open in Full Screen View

After entering the deep link address, restart the hardware to view the GUI on the touch screen

Closing the Alternate URL

In order to access the KC Brain Manager settings area after the Alternate Launch URL has been set you will need to connect with the IP address of the Virtual Brain host using a laptop or computer on the same LAN. In order to view the configuration enter the following URL:

• VirtualBrainIPAddress/agent
  • Make sure to replace the VirtualBrainIPAddress with the actual IP address of the hardware
