Perform Operations on All Cameras

When you perform an operation on all of the Recorder’s cameras, be aware that this will include even the cameras that you cannot see. (If your Recorder has 10 pages of cameras, all of those are selected.)

  1. Go to the Camera Configuration screen.
  2. To perform an operation on all of the Recorder’s cameras, mark the Select checkbox. (This will mark all of the cameras on the Recorder.)
    1. If there are a few cameras that you don’t want to include in the operation, simply click on each box to remove the mark.

  1. Once your selections are complete, click the pop-up menu at the right end of the selection row. Available options include delete, disable, enable, and recover.
    1. Click Delete to remove all of the selected cameras from the system. Orchid Recorder will ask you to confirm that you want to delete the cameras. Press the Delete button to confirm. Once the cameras are removed, they are no longer available for viewing, playback, recording, export, etc. This cannot be undone.
    2. Click Disable to disable all of the selected cameras. Orchid Recorder will ask you to confirm that you want to disable the cameras. Press the Disable button to confirm. Once the cameras are disabled, they will no longer play live video or record new archives. (The camera may still appear throughout the system, and existing archives may be played or exported, as long as they exist.)
    3. Click Enable to enable all of the selected disabled cameras. Orchid Recorder will ask you to confirm that you want to enable the cameras. Press the Enable button to confirm. Once the cameras are enabled, they should once again be able to play live video and record new video archives.
    4. Click Recover to recover all of the selected cameras. Orchid Recorder will ask you to confirm that you want to recover the cameras. Press the Recover button to confirm. The system will attempt to reconnect with all of the cameras.
