Advanced Settings: AI Search

Beginning in version 25.9, Orchid Recorder supports AI Search on cameras that support it (and have an AI license to cover it). This will allow you to tap into the powerful new AI Search tool that simplifies and speeds up video review.

1. At the Camera Configuration screen, click the camera you want to edit.
2. Go down to the Advanced Settings section.

3. Then click the AI Search Edit button to open the AI Search screen.

4. To enable AI Search on this camera, be sure to mark the Enable checkbox.
5. To disable AI Search on this camera, remove the mark.
6. When finished, click Update Camera.
   1. When you enable AI Search, notice that the AI Search designation will appear just beneath the camera name on the Camera Configuration screen.
   2. You will also notice that the ai search tag will automatically be added to the existing camera tags.

*Cameras that have a paid AI license and have AI Search enabled, will store AI events for the entire video retention period.

*Beginning in version 25.9, Orchid Recorder licenses now include camera counts that determine how many of the system’s cameras may use AI Search. If you receive an error message while trying to enable AI Search on a camera, you may have run out of licenses. If you disable AI Search on one camera, that should free up a license for you to enable it on another camera.
