The Delete function allows Editors to remove objects and all their child objects.

How to Delete an Object

  1. Open the object’s Details page.
  2. In the Edit dropdown, select Delete.

  1. Confirm deletion in the prompt.

  1. After deletion, you will be redirected to the parent object’s Details page and receive a notification confirming successful deletion.

Rules and Limitations

General

  • The Delete button is not available for Flow Objects. They need to be deleted within its process map. See Deleting Shapes and Flows.
  • Deleted objects are moved to the environment’s archive. They can be restored by environment or system administrators.
  • Deleting a parent object removes all children unless prevented by permission restrictions.

Permissions

  • Modelers need Delete permission to remove objects.
  • The deletion will not proceed if any child objects cannot be deleted due to insufficient permissions. You will see a notification explaining the issue.

Approval Cycles

  • Objects undergoing an approval cycle cannot be deleted. The Delete button is disabled.

Locks

  • Deleting an object currently being edited by another user is prevented. A lock error message appears. See Edit Lock.
