12.1.2.1 Create Sets

Users can create sets in EPC two simple ways: using the New button or by right-clicking in the hierarchical tree.

!Only users with Access to the Latest DB and Write permission can create objects. Make sure you are in Latest mode.

Creating Sets with the Create Button

1. Click the Create button on the top-right of the page.
2. In the drop-down menu, choose the module where you want to create a set and click the icon.
3. Click [Object Type] Set to start creating a new set.

4. Fill in the Set details:
   • Name
   • Unique ID
   • Description
     • Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*)

5. In the What is the Purge Period? accordion, specify the number of years the set will remain in the Archive before it can be permanently removed from the system.

6. Click the on Add & Close. You’ll be redirected to the Details page of your new set.

Creating Sets with the Tree Right-Click

1. Navigate to the module where you want to create a new set.
2. Right-click on the Environment name or on a blank space in the tree.
3. Select New [Object Type] Set.

4. Fill in the details in the form.
5. Specify the Purge Period if relevant.
6. Click Add & Close.
