Track Changes Across Drafts with Automatic Comment Removal

EPC now makes it easier to track edits in Word documents throughout the editing process. Whether users preview a document, edit it with Edit in Microsoft 365, or download it for local editing and later re-upload it, tracked changes remain visible, ensuring full transparency.

Track Changes is automatically turned on when a document is opened. Edits appear in different colors for each author, making changes easy to distinguish during collaboration. Comments added in Word are also preserved and visible in draft previews in EPC.

When the document reaches its final stage, either upon final approval or publication, comments are automatically removed. The final version is clean, professional, and free of markup, with no manual cleanup required.

Managing Track Changes

Track Changes is controlled by the ENABLE_TRACK_CHANGES advanced setting, which is enabled by default. Organizations can disable this setting if they prefer not to enforce automatic tracking.
