The SSN QR Code feature enhances document traceability by automatically embedding a QR code containing the document’s SSN into PDF files. When enabled, the QR code is dynamically injected at the moment of download, preview, or printing, allowing users to scan the code and retrieve the SSN associated with the document.

How the SSN QR Code Works

  • A QR code is automatically stamped on the bottom-right corner of the first page of a PDF.
  • The QR code contains the document’s SSN only.
  • The SSN is injected dynamically at download, preview, or print time.
  • The original document stored in the system is not modified.
  • The QR code appears consistently across draft and published versions.

System Configuration

SSN QR Code Injection is disabled by default. To enable it, update the advanced system settings:

  • Set the DOCUMENT_INJECT_QR_CODE setting to true.

When this setting is set to false, no QR codes are injected into PDF documents.
