This release introduces key upgrades to governance, including clearer approval tracking, faster default workflows, and enhanced attestation notifications to streamline control and accountability.
Track Approvals with Full Comment History
Gain deeper insight into your past approval cycles with our latest enhancement. Comments from users who sent object for approval are now displayed in the Version History grid, under a newly added Approval Request Comment column.
This update ensures that all approval request details are seamlessly recorded and easily accessible, enabling better tracking and increased transparency.
Parallel Approvals by Default: Faster, Smoother Workflows
To make approvals more efficient and streamlined, we’ve changed the default approval cycle type for new approval processes from Serial to Parallel. This update helps eliminate unnecessary bottlenecks and enables a faster, more seamless approval workflow.
With this change, decision-making is accelerated, as all assigned approvers can now review simultaneously rather than waiting for approvals to occur one at a time.
Users still have full control and flexibility to manually switch between Parallel and Serial approval types, allowing them to tailor the process to their specific needs.
Attestation Notifications for Streamlined Task Completion
Users associated with the attestation cycle, as defined by the RASCI-VS roles, will now receive automated notifications in EPC and via email when a pending attestation task is generated.
This ensures that the right stakeholders are promptly informed and can complete their tasks quickly, accelerating both the attestation and publishing workflows.
For detailed steps on configuring and managing the attestation cycle and notifications, please refer to the dedicated section in the manual. You’ll find in-depth instructions on enabling the attestation cycle, customizing the responsible parties who receive attestation tasks (and notifications), and understanding the notification flow and its triggers.
