When you need to give a user or group access to an environment, this method allows you to set their permissions and, if needed, grant Environment Admin access. This ensures the right people can work effectively while keeping sensitive areas protected.
Permission Levels & Environment Admin License Overview
These are the permissions you can assign to a user or group within an environment:
- None
No pre-determined permissions - Read Published
View only the published version (no editing or drafts) - Read Latest
View all versions (no editing or deleting) - Write
View and edit all versions (no deleting) - Delete
View, edit, delete, and manage object security - Environment Admin License

Managing Permission & License Through Users or Groups
1. Open Security Settings
- To manage users, go to System Admin → Users tab.
- To manage groups, go to System Admin → Groups tab.
- Find the user or group you want to manage.
- Click the
icon.
2. Add an Environment
- In the search box, start typing the environment name.
- Select the correct environment from the suggestions.
3. Assign Permission / License
- To make the user or group an Environment Admin, check the box.
- Otherwise, use the Environment Permission dropdown to select a specific permission level.
- To apply these permissions to all objects within the environment, click Apply to All Objects.
4. Remove Access
- Click the
icon next to the user or group.

- To apply these permissions to all objects within the environment, click Apply to All Objects.
4. Remove Access
