Licenses and authorizations control what users and groups can access and do in EPC. By managing these at the group or user level, you can ensure the right people have the access they need, maintain security, and reduce the risk of errors. This approach helps teams work efficiently while keeping sensitive information protected.
Managing Licenses & Authorizations for Groups
1. Open Group Settings
- Go to System Admin → Groups tab
- Find the group you want to manage
2. Assign Licenses
- In the table, check or uncheck the appropriate licenses:
- Admin (System Admin)
- Access to Latest Database
- Access to Published Database
3. Assign Authorizations
- Use the Authorized to dropdown to select the authorizations for the group
Managing Licenses & Authorizations for Users
1. Open User Settings
- Go to System Admin → Users tab
- Find the user you want to manage
- Click the
icon to edit the user
2. Assign Licenses
- At the bottom of the form, check the desired licenses for the user:
- System Admin
- Access to Latest Database
- Access to Published Database
3. Assign Authorizations
Use the Authorized to dropdown to select the authorizations for the user
