In EPC, you can manage security not only at the environment level but also directly on individual objects. This gives you the flexibility to fine-tune access, ensuring sensitive items are protected while still allowing collaboration where it’s needed.

This page walks you through how to grant, adjust, or remove permissions on a specific object.
→ If you are new to EPC security or want a broader overview of how licenses, permissions, and authorizations work together, see Permission & Security Management.

1. Open Object Security

  • Right-click the object in the hierarchy tree → Security

  • OR go to the object’s Details page → Edit menu → Security

2. Add a User, Role, or Group

  • (Optional) Before searching, you can select a filter to narrow results by user, role, or group.

  • Type a name in the search box, then select the correct match from the suggestions.

3. Assign Permissions

  • Use the Permission dropdown to set the level (Read, Write, Delete).
  • To cascade the setting to sub-objects, click Apply to Children.

4. Remove Access

  • Click the X next to the user, role, or group.
