Map Options

In Open Edit Map options, Administrators “Save as Environment Default” button was missing. The button has now been returned.

COPY/PASTE in Map

Flow-Object name would show as empty when copy/pasting a SHORTCUT before saving. Only after saving did the name appear. The name now displays immediately upon paste, without having to click save.

Graph layout

To make it obvious which input/output relates to which transition and to optimize/ reduce the overall width of your graph, the alignment location of the input/output labels has been improved and the size of all annotation labels has been reduced by integrating the following graph improvements :

1. Removing extra padding in label rectangles and excluding “X” button from the annotation box, improving clarity in graph content.
2. Removing minimum length on edge labels and the gap between Gateway & Edge after rerouting.
3. Edge labels are closer to edges now after Auto-Layout.
4. We have reset the Edge label locations to stay close to edges while moving shapes: the annotations now move with the transition to always remain in close proximity.
5. The annotation label text is wrapped upon Enter or Click-off instead upon Save. As result, the annotation text layout will be more accurate while editing the Graph, thus avoiding the need to re-layout annotation locations, after saving the edits.
6. IPL Name overlap and text overflow outside of annotation box is fixed.
7. The Analysis icons will only display on tasks when analysis data has been edited. If Analysis is set to ICON within map display settings, then all unchanged data icons will automatically be removed on upgrade.
8. Gap / Space between transition and gateway removed when transitions don’t start/end directly on the corner of the gateway. This allows you to utilize all ports along the gateway and keep your maps looking clean and obvious for end users.

Graph Comparison

When a Graph layout had a unique published version and latest version was the same as the published version, the user wouldn’t get the the correct results. If the user applied auto-layout in the edit page and compared it to the published version, the lane title would switch to none and all objects would be highlighted in yellow. This issue has been fixed and all the compared information is displayed and highlighted correctly.

Impact of annotation and Input/Output changes on upgrade

New/Edit Maps : Mapping and auto-layout enhancements always available. Re-run auto-layout to optimize the location of the shapes & inputs.

TIPS & TRICKS: A good way to validate if you want to optimize your current map with the latest auto-layout features is to run auto-layout in VIEW mode (not edit mode). If you are happy with the new layout, then select EDIT and run auto-layout in edit mode & save your changes.

Note: No auto-layout algorithm is perfect – we always recommend to review and manually optimize the layout after auto-layout.
