Update Power Settings for USB Ports

For Windows 8 and 10 operating systems:
Click the Windows Icon in the bottom left corner of your screen and type “Device Manager”.

In Device Manager, click the “>” sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers (as shown below).

For each USB Root Hub shown, right-click and choose Properties.

In Properties, select the Power Management tab (as shown below).

Make sure that “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked.
