All employees are required to request Personal Time Off-PTO and Vacation (applicable to year-round full-time staff only) in advance of taking leave. However, we recognize that sometimes that is not possible such as in the event of an illness. Below is guidance for requesting time-off.

Requesting Time Off in Advance

Using a Computer – Log onto mytotalsource.com with your user ID and Password. Choose “Update My Time Card” on the right side of the home page in the “I want to…” short cuts column and then choose “New Time Off Request”. Choose the date(s) that you will be out, the leave type in the Earnings Code column, and the number of hours you will be gone. If you are taking a part of a workday, you can change the start time. (The default setting is 8:00 AM.) Enter any description and comments that would be helpful to you and your supervisor and a date by which you wish your request to be reviewed. Click on submit to complete the request. If your plans change, go into the same area and Cancel the request.

Using the ADP Mobile App – Log on with your user ID and password or fingerprint. Click on Time Off and then “Create Request.” Choose the date(s) that you will be out, the leave type under “Policy Type” and the number of hours you will be gone. If you are taking a part of a workday, you can change the start time. (The default setting is 8:00 AM.) Enter any description and comments that would be helpful to you and your supervisor and a date by which you wish your request to be reviewed. Click “CREATE” to complete the request. Unable to request time off in advance (such as a sick day)

Press “Save” at the top or bottom of the time listings to complete the process.

Using the ADP Mobile App – Log on with your user ID and password or fingerprint. Click on Timecard and find the appropriate date. Click on the + sign on the right and enter the number of hours you were out. Choose PTO under “TYPE” and click “Save Entry” at the bottom of the screen.
