2021-2022 Virtual Learning Options:

GRACE will not offer long-term online learning as an alternative to in-person instruction as we did in the 2020-2021 school year. Students who are absent due to illness, vacation, or family issues will be treated just as they had pre-COVID. Exceptions will only be made for the following conditions:

  • Students who are dealing with a serious illness or injury that a doctor states will require an extended absence.
  • Students who are required to quarantine for a week or longer due to illness (positive COVID) or exposure.

If conditions dictate that an entire class needs to quarantine, which we have seen take place on the lower campus, then the teacher can switch to an online model as needed. Additionally, if we experience a major outbreak, or some other issue that causes an interruption to traditional classroom instruction, then we can utilize our technology to provide online instruction.

During incidental sickness – students may make up work when they get back but may keep up with asynchronous lessons using Talon.

Assessment Practices:

All assessments will be taken in person if at all possible to keep the integrity of the tests and equity of the assessment.
