No Symptoms or Exposures to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) → Proceed to School

Exposure to COVID-19, but no symptoms → Stay home for 10-14 days since last known exposure. See the Still Together COVID-19 Policies and Procedures, Spring 2021 document for more details on ending quarantine.

Diagnosis of COVID-19, but no symptoms → Stay home for 10 days since first positive COVID test

Fever, new cough, chills, shortness of breath/ difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or smell → Stay home until you meet one of the following:

  • Negative COVID-19 test, AND fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications), AND have felt well for 24 hours OR
  • Healthcare providers note stating symptom was due to diagnosis other than COVID-19 (then follow normal policies to return to school) OR
  • 10 days at home since symptoms developed, AND fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications), AND symptoms are improving

For all other symptoms, including, but not limited to, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and sore throat, the individual must be 24 hours SYMPTOM FREE before returning to campus.

Please email attendance (TK6attendance@gracechristian.net or 712attendance@gracechristian.net) and the teacher if your child is going to be absent.

Please also email the nurse at nmorreale@gracechristian.net if your child or a family member has a known exposure to or diagnosis of COVID-19, or if your child has a fever, new cough, chills, shortness of breath/ difficulty breathing, or new loss of taste or smell.
