Create a service request in Dealer Admin that sends a Tech APP notification to the assigned technician. In Dealer Admin, users can also view, edit, delete, and close service requests from the Service Request Dashboard.

Create a Service Request

To create a service request in Dealer Admin, complete the following steps.

  1. Find the customer and select their name.
  2. In the row of the system that needs to be serviced, select the Service Request icon.
  3. In the Select Technician dropdown, select the appropriate technician.
  4. In Service Date, choose a date for service to be completed.
  5. If necessary, add details for the request in Notes.
  6. To open the service request, press Save.

Service Request Dashboard

To add a note, edit, delete, and close service requests, complete the following steps.

Add a Note

  1. Go to Tools > Service Request Dashboard.
  2. Select the appropriate service request.
  3. Select Add Note.
  4. Compose your note.
  5. Press Save.

Notes that are added to a service request after the first one are marked with date, time, and author.

Edit a Service Request

  1. Go to Tools > Service Request Dashboard.
  2. Select the service request that you want to edit.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Edit the request as needed.
  5. Press Save.

Delete a Service Request

  1. Go to Tools > Service Request Dashboard.
  2. Select the service request that you want to delete.
  3. To delete the service request, select Delete.
  4. A dialog pops up to confirm your decision. To delete the service request, press OK.

Close a Service Request

  1. Go to Tools > Service Request Dashboard.
  2. Select the service request that you want to close.
  3. Select Close Request.
