Purpose

Data for RFI is a self-service tool that provides centers with the ability to access, view, reconcile, format and supplement form data submitted to CIBMTR to fulfill annual RFI obligations for payers. Data for RFI is not a report but a data extract that centers can export into the standardized format developed by ASTCT.

Centers can supplement the extract with additional data not collected by CIBMTR and update any discrepancies that might exist with center-based records. Centers are strongly encouraged to check their data for completeness and accuracy before submitting to payers or other organizations.

Data for RFI leverages the same CIBMTR data available in Data Back to Centers (DBtC) but translates it to the standard RFI format developed by ASTCT. It also incorporates the standard RFI rules for determining survival, differentiating adult and pediatric populations and more. It does not contain data that is not collected on CIBMTR forms or that has not been provided to CIBMTR (e.g., survival data for autologous patients who declined consent). Data for RFI will contain an HCT Dataset and a CT Dataset. Presented in multiple formats for consumption, the data is compiled using standards and logic developed by ASTCT and can be exported as a Microsoft Excel workbook in the standard format for review and reconciliation.

Timeline

Annual updates will occur in January/February each year. These will include any format/content updates as dictated by ASTCT, as well as updating the years included in the dataset.

The data will be refreshed monthly, typically at the end of each month. These refreshes will include any updates to the data made in FormsNet.
