Enable Release Management
Navigate to the ActiveControl administration Area.
Use the Feature Deactivation tile to toggle Release Management on/off. Once enabled, users will see the “Release” tile on their home screen.
User Access & Authorizations
Assign Release Management single role: /BTI/TE:STD_RELEASE_MGR_AUTHS Authorisation object Y_TE_RLS

| CREATE | Create a Release |
| CHANGE | Change a Release |
| DELETE | Delete a Release |
| LOCK | Lock a Release |
| UNLOCK | Unlock a Release |
| ADDTASK | Add a business task to a release |
| REMOVETASK | Remove a Business Task from a Release |
| APPROVE | Approve a Release |
| REJECT | Reject a Release |
| DUPLICATE | Duplicate a Release and all related items |
Create Release Types
Go to ActiveControl Administration Screen and select “Types” tile.
Define:
- Type Name
- Level (Release)
Create Release Schedules
Go to ActiveControl Administration Screen and select “Release Schedules” tile
Define:
- Caption/User ID
- Days & Times
- Selection Criteria (e.g., all transports or filtered by custom rules)
Supports both single deployment and scheduled imports.
Integrate with ServiceNow (Optional)

Customize Release Views
Use the Release List Screen:
Filter, group, and sort releases.
Add/remove standard or custom fields.
Pin recurring releases for visibility.
