Presets are a convenient way to store all the settings of a device for reuse. Follow these steps to define your instrument’s sound by applying a preset to it:

Load a preset
Figure 3.3.3: The device's context menu and the “Load Preset” dialog box.

  1. Right-click an empty area of your instrument and select “Load Preset” from its device context menu to open the “Load Preset” dialog box.
  2. With the “All” button selected, type “eighties” in the “Search” text field of the “Load Preset” dialog box, press Enter, click “Eighties Pad” on the presets list and click the “Apply” button. Audiotool applies the values stored in the preset to your instrument, setting its sound.
  3. Drag the “Volume” knob of your instrument down to set the volume of the output to approximately -6 dB.
  4. Click an empty area of your instrument to select it, press CAPS-LOCK and press keys on your keyboard to play notes on your instrument and hear its sound.
